The customer has worked with MARQ for several years. The primary reason for automation was to reduce labor cost, both is erecting boxes and the multiple changeovers they encountered during a shift. MARQ Case Erectors and Case Sealers with the Computer Adjustable "Quick Change" option allowed this customer to realize a 100% increase in output production. This option allows the machines to do a box changeover automatically with minimal operator interface. The customer has noted that MARQ's commitment to responsiveness and their ability to engineer a solution, specific to their application needs has had a strong influence with regard to the purchasing decision.
Requirements:
¨ Machines would have to be capable of operating at a high level of uptime with minimum maintenance like previous equipment.
¨ Would have to provide a quick changeover when box sizes needed to be changed.

Payback:
Most payback was achieved prior to all corporate guidelines and continues along these lines due to the labor savings of erecting boxes and having an operator less involved in the many changeovers during the day. This MARQ Solution has allowed this customer to run many box sizes during a shift, while not have the 5-15 minutes needed to changeover contemporary machines.

· MARQ QC option solution, which allows a box size to be programmed into the PLC and machine, and when a change occurs the operator presses a button on the control panel and the machine adjusts for that signified size.
