The customer's primary goal in implementing the HPE215 was to alleviate problems with storage and time. One person was responsible for forming cases by hand and storage was becoming an issue. Due to the speed at which cases could be hand erected additional storage was required so that large production runs could be accommodated. Additional help in case erecting would also be required. By automating, the need for additional help was eliminated and the additional space was no longer required as the machine is more capable of providing the cases on demand.
Payback was not a great concern nor was there an initial concern for the potential health hazard of the individual erecting the cases by hand (repetitive motion injury, etc.). This customer felt that automation might offer a solution to the space problem and they felt that they were large enough (as a company) to justify an automatic case erector.
They are very happy with the decision and would be willing to do it again as growth dictates. They are aware of the automation advantages and are currently considering automated sealing however, they don't feel that they are quite ready yet.
When asked about their distributor, the customer stated that they were very happy with the MARQ distributor and the service in their area. The MARQ case erector has performed completely up to their expectations.
